And how am I supposed to hol back when you say the sweet thin You say, oh, I'm screwed.

It wasn't supposed to be like this.

I don't wanna come on too strong.
Just gotta take it day by day.

But I just gotta say that it's downright.
Outrageous the way that I cant kiss you as often as I'd like to.

I'm so screwed.
With the butterflies and daydreaming about you all the time.
What am I supposed to do?
I'm so screwed.
Losing sleep.
Is it just me?
Is it all in my head?
Wont take much just a single touch Something you say I don't know what's real.
Is it all a mistake making me feel this way we don't know how to feel.
Maybe we should just slow down.
Be real with me.
Do you feel the way I feel at all?
You see, there's no need to be afraid to fall in love with someone that you don't need.
Be real with me.
Do you feel the way I feel at all?
I heard you say you felt some way.
No, girl, I'm not dense.
But you and me got some history.
So I've been on the fence.
I don't know what's real.
Did I make a mistake?
Baby?
Is it too late?
Don't know how to feel.
Baby, please don't slow down.
Be real with me.
Do you feel the way I feel at all?
Oh, you see there's no need to be afraid.
To fall in love with someone that you don't need.
Be real with me Do you feel the way I feel at all?
The way I feel at all.
No no no no no no no.
No I don't know what's real.
Is it all a mistake?
Baby is it too late, tell me how you feel.
Maybe we should just be so slow down.
Be real with me.
Do you feel the way I feel at all?
you see there's no need to be afraid to fall in love with someone that you don't need.
Be real with me Do you feel the way I feel at all?
How am I supposed to hold back?
When you said sweet things?
You say, oh, I'm screwed.
I'm so screwed.
Welcome back, Inland Empire.
Thank you so muc for sticking around once again.
My name is Manny Sandoval, and we have Will in Jitsi with us today.
Thank you guys so much for coming out in sharing your guys's music, especiall when you have a big week, a big, you know, graduatio from Azusa Pacific University.
Can you tell me your guys's, music majors?
Yeah.
So I study, classical vocal performance.
So I do classical music and opera, and I'm music and worship.
Gotcha.
And so how did you get into classical music in opera?
It just kind of happened.
It's.
I was going to do music at som capacity at the college level.
But then I was in the studio class, and my professor just convinced me to change my major.
And I'm really happy that I did.
It's something that, like, I'm really passionate about just doing, and singing classical music and doing all of that, so I'm really glad.
So how is classical music different from, you know, the musi that we hear, like on the radio?
Because classical music is kind of where it began.
Almost.
Right.
Is that correct?
Yeah.
It's definitely like a lot of technical work that I've done with mysel in the last like four years now.
Just learning how to use my voice and how connected it is to like, my entire body and all of that.
And so it's a lot of learning about myself and, finding, like, my real voice, instead of kind of doin all of the stylistic things of, yeah, kind of what you hear on the radio or, other commercial stuff.
Gotcha.
And.
Will, so you said worship, that's, you know, a part of your major.
So what inspired you to go that route?
So, originally I was Commercial Voice, which is just kind o the opposite of classical voice.
More like the stuff you hear on mainstream.
But I switched to music in worship because I felt, I kind of bonde with the head of music worship.
He's a really great guy.
And, yeah, I don't know, I just, I found myself going that direction, and I'm glad I did, because now, I'm in a worship class where we hold worship services sometimes, and it's something I don't think I ever thought I would do, but I really enjoy doing it now, so.
Gotcha.
That's awesome.
And so the songs that you guys performed, the first song, what was the name of that?
It's called I'm So Screwed.
I'm so screwed.
I didn't want to just guess, but I kind of got that.
But.
So what inspired that song?
I wrote it last year, I think, over the summer, and it was about, this gu that I was dating at the time, and I'm still dating, and so I, it was like when we first started dating and I started to have like a sorry, have feelings for him but I wasn't super aware of it.
It wasn't something that like, I necessarily was aiming for.
And so once I realized I got super scared and my first thought was like, I'm so screwed, because I was just, yeah, head over heels.
It was embarrassing.
It's a funny song.
It' very catchy, though I like it.
Thank you.
And so Will.
How did you guys get together and start collaborating?
How'd that work out?
Yeah.
So we have, a mutual friend named Ethan.
He goes by pockets, and he produces music.
So she was over at his apartment, and he just invited me over, and we just kind of started making music.
And then.
Yeah we just kind of became friends after that and then starte making music together.
Gotcha.
And so the second song that you guys performed, what was the title of that and what inspired the lyrics?
It's called Be Real.
And we, I think we just wrote it for, this event that we did last month, called Girl Bash.
And so we were performing there and we just decided, why not?
We hav this performance in like a week, so why not just, like, learn, write a whole new song, and then perform it?
So, yeah, we don't really have, like, a connection to the lyrics, to be honest.
It was just kind of what we put together.
Gotcha And so what would you guys say?
So how do you guys exactly sort of describe your music?
Well, a lot of the songs that I write are just like singer songwriter, indie bedroom pop type of, feel.
And so it's just really, like, chill, kind of bubbly, kind of like the song that you hear in a coffee shop.
It's kind of the vibe.
Yeah.
Love coffee here.
Are you guys so are you guys actually a fa of that kind of genre of music, would you say?
Oh, yeah, definitely.
Gotcha.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we will be right back.
Rhythm lounge, we're going to take a quick break.
And guys, if you stick around you're going to find out with these guys.
Favorite guilty pleasure artis is right here on Rhythm Lounge.
Well and I'm not special cause I'm not as bad as girls like.
So so so, Oh she's beautiful.
Everybody knows.
This field is very collaborative.
So coming in with a collaborative kind of mindset is very beneficial for you.
I've always enjoyed storytelling, and whether that's new or through radio or through TV, it was always just very fascinating to me.
And it's very helpful from this program that I learned all roles.
And so now when I am on set, I'm able to know what everyone is doing on set.
And that is something that I've learned here that I haven't learned anywhere else.
This school specifically is really good about that, because they're really good at making you figure it out, kind of guiding you, but not forcing your hand as in like doing it for you And then it just really set it.
You get to learn why it doesn't work.
Welcome back to the lounge.
And as promised, you are going to find out Will and Ditzys favorite guilty pleasure artists.
So Will and Ditzy.
Thank yo for sticking around with us, and I hope I gave you enough time to think about that because, you know, it could be a little embarrassing every once in a while to let people in and know, you know what that artist is that you enjoy but you usually listen to them mayb while you're cleaning your room or just in your headphones, hoping your siblings or your friends don't hear.
So I will say this to get us started a little bit.
I don't want to put you on the spot for it, so I'll put myself on the spot.
But it's interesting.
Recently I was, driving around and, I had two cousins and my siblings with me and, old High School Musical son came on on my on my playlist and My cousin said, that's embarrassing.
And I said, what's embarrassing is that you don't know the lyrics to this song, so.
But from your guys' perspective, what's, you know, a guilty pleasure artist that you enjoy listening to?
Honestly, I'd have to say like Post Malone.
I really enjoy Post Malone.
I mean I think a good amount of people like him, but I know some people don't.
And honestly, I think also, I don't mind if, like Dua Lipa comes on the radio, I enjoy I enjoy her songs for the most part.
Okay.
And what about you did see, along the same lines as, like the High School Musical soundtrack.
I really lik the Lemonade Mouth soundtrack.
And so whenever that comes on, yeah.
It's definitely if I hit Shuffle On, like, my whole library, it will definitely come up.
But I usually try to avoid it.
What do you guys.
So as live performers, obviously you guys have been performing in Southern California throughout Southern California for for a while now.
But how do you guys prepare for for a song?
What does that routine look like?
What songs are you usually you know, singing to get ready?
So what does that look like for you guys?
You probably.
Okay.
She's performed more than me, to be honest.
Yeah.
The few time that we've rehearsed together, we just kind of, like, run it through.
If there's any problem spots o things that we want to adjust.
We'll try and, like just test different things out.
It's really easy.
Like, between each other.
Like, we're very flexible and, like, oh, yeah, we could totally change this, change it to, like, a different key to change it, in any wa stylistically, so that it just kind of fits us performing, better.
So.
Yeah.
And and to dive a little bit deeper, you just mentioned, you know, changing up the keys to songs from a music perspective and on a deeper level.
What does key exactly mean in music?
Oh, yeah, it's just the, I'm a music major.
I should be able to answer this.
Just kind of like the notes, like within the key that, you have.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
So I feel like there's, like, different ranges in each, like, each person's voice.
And so a key is kind of like, you're like, it's a different range, I guess, in each voice.
I don't know if that's a great way to say.
Are you you're usually matching the vocal to the instrument being played.
It's, kind of ho it would sound if it's in key.
Yeah.
Like, I mean, I guess so like so like this is like, I just use this as an example.
So like this is like the beginning of one key and then so like if I went like this, that's one key in and.
It's like higher different part of your voice you're singing right.
Yeah.
I don't know how to explain in words.
Yeah.
Gotcha.
Kind of difficult.
Yeah.
But.
Well just so you know, that was your final.
No, I'm just kidding.
For your program.
I'm just kidding.
Sorry for all of our professors watching right now.
No, but.
So that was great.
I no, that makes sense.
Where you just sort of described in the example you gave.
But so when it comes to your vocal specifically, what warm ups do you guys do as vocalists?
There's a lot I don't, I don't really have I don't really have a lot.
It's a little embarrassing because it's exactly like that scene in High School Musical where, like, Sharpa is in front of the mirror, like, just like all of that, that that is what we do.
And so that's like th vocal warmups that we always do, but then mostly just like trying to get into singing and getting into, like, getting comfortable in the kind of style that we're singing in is that routine.
Gotcha.
And so where can we find more of you guys at online?
I'm on all streaming platforms as Ditzy and then, on Instagram as Ditzy music official.
And that's how you find me.
Yeah.
I'm also on all streaming platforms.
It's just, w!ll, all lowercase, but, as an exclamation point.
And then on Instagram, it's Waughtan.
And it's like my first last and middle name combined.
So perfect.
Super creative.
And guys what you guys have one more song.
What's the name of the song?
Yeah.
This is going to be Girls Like, Gotcha.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, thank you so muc for tuning into Rhythm Lounge.
Give it up one last time for Will and Ditzy.
Girl beautiful.
You grew up gorgeous.
You grew up stunning.
And everybody told you so.
Grew up strange.
And I grew up funny.
And I grew up with everybody.
Making sure I know that I'm just another girl one of millions in the world.
And I'm not special.
I'm not worth the time.
No, I'm just another girl.
One of billions in the world.
And I'm not special caus I'm not as fine as girls like.
Summer, Summer, Summer Oh, she's beautiful.
Everybody knows a girl like Summer, Summer, Summer And I hope she knows I wish I was as beautiful as girls like her.
girls like her girls like her girls like her girls like her girls like her Now I know that I'm not perfect.
But I thought that I was wort a little more than what you see.
And I know that I got flaws.
But I didn't think it was cause to tear me down and be so mean.
She thinks I'm not as pretty.
And my voice isn't as sweet as hers.
But I still sing and I still smile.
And yeah, it took a while.
But I think I kinda like me even now I'm just another girl.
One of millions in the world.
And I'm not special.
I'm not worth the time.
I'm just another girl.
One of billions in the world.
And I'm not special.
Cause I'm not as fine as girls like.
Summer.
Oh she's beautiful.
Everybody knows a girl like Summer, Summer And I hope she knows I wish I was as beautiful as girls like her girls like her Girls like her.
Girls like her, girls like her.
