In the corruption trial of U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, the defense kicked off its case Monday morning. On Friday, prosecutors wrapped after seven weeks presenting evidence, and testimony from more than two dozen witnesses, attempting to prove Menendez accepted bribes of cash, gold bars and a luxury car in exchange for using his power and influence.
